Step 1 — Pick the right screen size for your room
The single most common regret we hear is 'I should have bought a bigger TV.' A working rule for 4K TVs: divide viewing distance (in inches) by 1.5. So 8 feet away = 96 inches ÷ 1.5 = 64 inches — a 65-inch TV. 10 feet away = 80 inches — a 75–85 inch TV.
For a typical Dewas bedroom (viewing 6–8 ft), a 43–55 inch TV is right. For a drawing room (viewing 8–12 ft), 55–65 inch is the sweet spot. For open-plan living rooms or a home-theatre setup, go 75 inch or larger.
Step 2 — LED vs QLED vs OLED
LED (Full-HD or 4K) — the default choice for 90% of buyers. Bright, reliable, wide brand range, priced from ₹18,000 (32-inch) to ₹80,000 (65-inch 4K).
QLED (Samsung, TCL, some LG) — brighter and more colour-vivid than standard LED, better for bright rooms with natural light. Priced 20–40% higher than equivalent LED.
OLED (LG, Sony) — the picture-quality benchmark. Every pixel produces its own light, giving perfect blacks and cinematic contrast. Best for dedicated home theatres or serious movie/gaming enthusiasts. Priced from ₹1,20,000 for 55-inch.
Step 3 — Smart OS, HDR, refresh rate
Smart OS decides the day-to-day experience. Google TV (Sony, TCL, Hisense) is the most flexible with the best app support. WebOS (LG) is smooth and simple. Tizen (Samsung) is fast and integrated with Samsung phones. All three support Hotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and JioCinema.
HDR (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision) improves contrast and colour range — worth having on any TV above 50 inches. Dolby Vision is the premium standard, supported on Sony, LG and select TCL.
Refresh rate: 60Hz is fine for regular viewing and cricket. 120Hz matters if you play PS5/Xbox games and want smooth motion at 4K.
Step 4 — Sound, wall-mount and stabiliser
Modern flat TVs have thin sound. If your room is above 150 sq ft or you watch a lot of movies, budget ₹8,000–25,000 for a soundbar — it transforms the experience. Sony HT-S2000 or LG SN5Y are great starting points; Sony HT-A5000 is the premium pick.
Free wall-mount installation is included on every TV we sell — we bring the bracket, drill, level and set up all inputs. HDMI cable, set-top-box mounting and stabiliser are quoted transparently.
In areas of Dewas with frequent voltage swings, a ₹1,500 stabiliser rated for 100V–290V is inexpensive protection for a ₹40,000+ TV.
